Orphaned Little Hearts Project

The youth exchange project ‘Orphaned Little Hearts’, in which Latvia, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Hungary and Turkey are partners, was held in Tekirdag, Turkey between 22-28 August.

Among the objectives of the project are to ensure that orphaned children have access to their rights regardless of their socio-economic conditions, to help them grow up in love and trust, to provide uninterrupted educational opportunities and to help raise them as self-confident, productive and value-adding individuals in the future.

Participants in the project have endeavoured to better understand the shortcomings and dangers awaiting orphaned children growing up away from their families and to raise awareness throughout the society. The dissemination activities carried out for this purpose also formed an important part of the project.
